Doosan Construction Machinery Machine Tool Business Unit announced that by 2015, it will achieve the sales target of 2.2 trillion won by increasing the annual output to 20000 units, so as to achieve the goal of "the world's top manufacturer".


In recent years, with the prosperity of the Chinese and Korean markets, Doosan construction machinery continues to accelerate its growth. But in order to achieve the goal of global top enterprises, we must improve their brand status in advanced markets. Therefore, the company decided to expand its target to the North American market, Brazil and other emerging markets in Central and South America, which are still in the period of economic depression.


To activate the North American market shrinking due to the global financial crisis, Doosan Engineering Machinery has adopted a unique differentiation strategy. By implementing the 'product agent customer' connection system, the company concentrated its marketing force to expand sales. At the same time, through the differentiation strategy, we will continue to strengthen the first line sales force and the second line customer service force, laying a good foundation for expanding the order demand in the North American market.


On the other hand, Doosan Engineering Machinery is committed to developing Brazil and other emerging markets in Central and South America. In order to gain a foothold in the auto and related parts market, the company sent technicians to the local area to actively carry out marketing activities, and its orders doubled over the previous year.


As part of the strategy of the Americas, Doosan Engineering Machinery participated in the world's largest machine tool exhibition IMTS 2010 (International Manufacturing Technology Exhibition) held in Chicago, USA. Through the exhibition of 21 new generation strategic models for the American market, including 13 turning centers and 8 machining centers, the company fully demonstrated the cutting-edge technical strength of the world's top enterprises.


Among the participating models, the machining center (HP5100LPS) that can realize high-end automation and the machining center (VTS1214) that can process large parts such as aeroengines, oil/gas, and shipbuilding have attracted much attention.


Kim Jae sub (head of the machine tool automation business department) of Doosan Engineering Machinery said: "At this exhibition, Doosan Engineering Machinery, Mazak and Mori and other companies were among the top five machine tool manufacturers, and were recognized by the American Manufacturing Technology Association (AMT), the organizer of the exhibition. Our booth covers 1580 m2, which is the largest booth in the front row. This symbolizes the position of Doosan Engineering Machinery in the American machine tool market."


The 28th IMTS Exhibition has been successfully held so far. As one of the largest machine tool exhibitions in the world, this exhibition has attracted more than 1800 enterprises from 119 countries around the world.
